Curt Warner the running back for the seahawks in the 80s(on the same team as Largent and Dave Kreig) played tailback at penn state.

He played at Penn State from 79-82, so I doubt he played much in 79 because Joe Pa hated playing freshman up until last year. He had a 1400 yard rookie season with the seahawks in 83. He was often injured and thats when they brought in John L Williams to help carry the load.
Franco Harris and Lydell Mitchell played in the same Penn State backfield in the early 70's. Both had solid pro careers, especially Franco.
My prediction (barring injury of course) Larry Johnson will be break the single season rushing record this year.
